Ozone

What is ozone?

Ozone is a gas that contains three oxygen atoms.  It is a transient and unstable molecule that reacts very quickly with other molecules and atoms nearby.  Ozone is the sweet smell that is created from lightning during a rain storm and ozone is contained in smog.

How is it that ozone is good for your?

Ozone is good in the tissues of the body because it kills microbes and stimulates the immune system with the byproduct of the reaction being oxygen (O2) and water (H2O).  Ozone is not good to breathe into the lungs,  but otherwise has an immune stimulating effect on other membranes in the body.

How do you use it?

Ozone can be administered in water, topically, rectal insufflation, blood, and dental.  The concept is to kill off microbes and then deliver more oxygen to the tissues.  Eg.) Water ozonation has been around for many years and has shown a tremendous antimicrobial effect.

Is it safe?

Ozone has been found to be an extremely safe medical therapy. In a 1980 study done by the German Medical Society for Ozone Therapy, 644 therapists were polled regarding their 384,775 patients, comprising a total of 5,579,238 ozone treatments administered. There were only 40 cases of side effects noted out of this number which represents the rate of .000007%, and only four fatalities.  The statistics for medication side effects in the U.S. alone number at least 100,000 fatalities per year.

Prolozone?

Ozone is injected into the afflicted joint, and is used to benefit joints from chronic pain.

Major(MAH) and Minor Autoheme Therapy?

This is when ozone is mixed with an exact volume of blood in a sterile environment and re-infused or injected intramuscularly.  This results in a higher oxygen level in the system and can benefit chronic illness and infections.

What is the difference between MAH and Multi-pass ozone?

Multi pass ozone therapy is MAH done several times during the same session.  The benefit of this is that it is an exponentially higher level of oxygen delivered to the system and an acceleration in healing with fewer sessions.
